The large diaphragm one is well thought of but the stereo one just didn't really find a home? two small capsules at 90 degrees, so X/Y. nothing wrong with that, but when you do stereo often, as I do, it's really common for you to not be able to put the mics in the ideal position, so opening out slightly, or toeing in to reflect where the sound sources are is pretty important. With a fixed 90 degrees, you can only use distance to make sure you capture the width. I have a stereo multipattern, where the top capsule can be adjusted and it's so useful. Without this I would use two mics every time.
