Hi, everyone I'm hoping you're having a good day!
My concern is, I'm currently recording an album basically, acoustic guitar, some old Casio keyboards and voice, I was recording trough a Behringer u phoria umc202hd and a C-1 condenser mic but it wasn't the sound I was looking for, now im recording directly through my Mac mic and it seems like it's the way but still it sounds too clear for me :D I'm basically looking for this background hum, or noise, this very low quality sound, here's an example of how I would like to sound

Do you know any home made method to make my recordings sound like this or should I look for some analog type or recording?
Pd: I know maybe I can get a hum noise with plug ins but that will be my last option
Thanks so much!

It almost sounds like single coil hum - not as clear. Maybe recording a track of single coil hum, then playing with the HPF & LPF would get close.

It's like the best oxymoron ever asked in a recording forum!

I must say, that without recording something via something that sounds like that, would involve manipulation. I am intrigued tho as to what you figure out.

8-)
