My model 20 half track had not been used in 5 maybe 6 years and when I put a reel of tape on it the RR and FF are slow I mean creaky slow. They still work but slow. It plays and record fine but the FF and RR are painfully slow. Is there some maintenance proceedure to get the FF and RR up to speed? I love fostex great gear. Nothing Id rather have. Wish I had an Otari but fostex gear has never held me back or let me down. I really want this thing to work as it should. Thanks in advance.
