Hi everyone, so I've been using cassette multitracks for a while and recently picked up a fostex dmt 8 HDD recorder for 30 bucks but I can't for the life of me get a signal through this thing. I've read the manual, and also assume it works like a 4 track but after a few hours of testing I can't get anything to monitor on it. I've been just trying to run a bass guitar through it, I've formatted the hard drive and cannot get any signal, the click track, or anything. It seems odd since like I find it hard to believe every singe channel is fully silent, including the monitor out and really think I might just be doing something wrong. The machine doesn't even meter any signals except the click track which I can't get to output. I think I might just be using it wrong or something? Any help to get this thing going would be VERY appreciated. Thanks!
