Hey,
I just bought an SL880 off of eBay, but I cannot get it to send any midi messages. I have tried monitoring the signals with MidiMonitor on all channels, but nothing gets sent. I have tried resetting to default settings, but this doesn't work either.
I am not having any of the common issues with the on button or the wrong LEDs being lit up, just this issue, which I can't find documented anywhere else online.
I messaged the seller, who has 100% feedback with around 200 seller ratings, and he said that it was his personal keyboard, and that it worked for him.
I was hoping that the problem may lie in my setup instead of with the keyboard. I am using a MIDI to USB cable, which works with my old yamaha keyboard, and has LEDs to show transmission of data. These LEDs do not flash when I press any keys.
Am I supposed to use a MIDI to MIDI cable and plug into my interface instead?
If anyone else has had similar issues, I would greatly appreciate some help here.
Thanks,
Matt
