Hello,

I have a condenser microphone (sennehiser MKE - 2 it needs phantom power) and I plugged it into a laptop headphone jack. Could the microphone burn?

Thank you for your responses.

Sorry, why would you plug a mic into an output? Does it have an XLR connector? Is this what you have? It needs a phantom power supply of some type. Not really sure what you are trying to do.

Something like this would work if it has an XLR connector.

If you're worried about the headphone signal being sufficient to damage the mic when connected up in reverse, I'd be very surprised if the Sennheiser suffered any harm, My experience of the quality brands is that people doing daft things is built into the design criteria. Plug it on and see!
