Change of sample rate - step by step

Hi everyone.

We are recording, using CuBase 5, and we need to change the sample rate to be able to work on our old songs.
Our sound card is Edirol FA-66 and we know we can change the sample rate either in the program or on the sound card. But we just can't seem to get it right.
Does anyone here know the steps how to do it? 1... 2... 3...

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want to change the sample rate of a project to match the sample rate of the existing tracks, or do you want to change the sample rate of the files to use them in a project with a different rate?

In most cases, the interface sample rate will adapt to match that of the software using it.

What are the relevant sample rates now (project and files)?
