Balanced Lines

Are all 1/4" cables capable of carring a balanced signal, or are the TSR the only types? The reason I ask this is becuase if I use a non-balanced cable for patching and stuff, that would inset some line noise and such, correct?

No, only the TSR cables are capable of carrying a balanced signal on 1/4". Using any cable adds some line noise, balanced just reduces the amount of radio interference (which helps alot, especially on long runs). Either way, if the connections are kept short, it shouldn't be much of a problem.
