ASIO4ALL v2.12 or
Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver ... with CI2.

Which Driver should I be using with my CI2.

Attached screen shots showing Latency results when each Driver is used.

Obviously ASIO4ALL shows lower Latency.
But never know I could be doing something wrong.

Some System Specs below.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

Steinberg CI2 Audio Interface
Cubase Elements 6
32 Gig Ram
3.2 GHz Processor

I personally would not trust the ASIO4All latency measurements. Plus, I have never seen equal input and output latency for any interface I have used. Makes me think that is BS to begin with.
How does it work for you? You should be able to figure out which is working best by using.

In my experience, the AI supplied drivers are way better than using a 'wrapper' that fakes an ASIO driver. Especially when it comes to using a Steinberg AI with Steinberg software.

In any case, neither of those values would be good for recording at that buffer size. There will be some noticeable delay while tracking. Lower the buffer and see what you get.

Many thanks for your reply jimmys69 Moderator with long hair.

Just got my hair cut today so I have short hair.

Yes will try what you said and lower buffer.
Recording with VST libraries only ... no live sound recorded here.

Muchas gracias again to you for your time and for answering.

Damn, Jimmy! 14,000 posts!

I remember when you and I were pretty much tied in post count. I'm too busy to come on here anymore. :(

I'm on break, though! :D
