I'm sorry to report that:
MicroMikeLabs (Anaheim) has closed up shop. According to his family, Bill Hayes has retired for medical reasons and his business has been closed. Bill is 91 years of age.
Since the 1970's, Bill Hayes was the owner and sole proprietor of MicroMikeLabs providing repair services and materials for vintage Altec-Lansing Microphones. Bill had been one of Altec's chief engineers before Telex bought the company just to raid it's assets and shut it down. I know of no one else in the USA (or internationally) that can provided this service. His active presence will be missed.
Altec mic's of the 1960's remain legendary masterpeices.
