A cool & simple way to start a track in FL Studio. Though you can apply these ideas to any sequencer. Pick 2 sounds with lots of contrast. I do a stable, dark, bass pad as sound 1 (on the root note). Then my second sound is a bright lead. Which is changing key. So it sounds like this dark, stable sound (bass pad) is giving birth to a bright, moving lead. The contrast is what creates tension. Then I mix in some drums/bass & end with an acid! Let me know what you think. Cheers!!!
