If you're not familiar of what is coming. Here is a quick explanation. Once this adopted, I see USB 3 and Thunderbolt going by the way side and we will see more interfaces with connector type.

As long as we can get adapters no problem. Some of us aren't going to start replacing all our USB-equipped gear just ot have a different connector, of course.

It's a cool connector, but the Macbook's dumb for having only one port. 'You can charge your laptop or use your peripherals, but not at the same time.' It can't walk and chew gum at the same time, in other words. My 8-year-old laptop's plugged in most of the time and hooked up to a printer, which means it's more capable than the new Macbook. Apple - trying to be cool, but being stupid.
