Ten Years After

It was 10 years ago this week that more than 100 people attended Jamfest 6 in Andover, CT at the home of Tom and Kathy Neville.

Forgive me for feeling a bit nostalgic but I have fantastic memories of that weekend in Connecticut and I would be remiss if I didn’t post a few video links of the people who were in attendance to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Jamfest 6.

I’m 67 years old now and I can guarantee everyone that I will not be posting and boring anyone with a post ten years from now commemorating the 20th anniversary of Jamfest 6.

Here is a short list of HR members whom I remember being present at Jamfest 6.

Why do you say that...? Do you not expect to hit 77...?

Me, too! Go Alvin Lee. :D

Btw, I was at one of those jamfests too. Not sure exactly when, but quite possibly that one. I know Acidrock, MrQ, and Dafduc were at the one I was at. ChuckU too.

It was a blur for me but an awesome blur..I was traveling for work and swung by for one evening...so many cool people there...I remember QQ pulling in after me..Betty and the Beeze ( and his cool pops) EZ and a boat load of other cool cats...and they was jammin...good friends and good food...had to blow out late that night to catch a flight but grateful I had the chance to meet to everybody ...and of course the way cool Jamfest hats that Randy so generously passed out...still got mine...tattered and torn but still worn

and in 9 days I'll be celebrating 10 years post major Stroke 9-13-06, so I was so glad to have made that fest, which was my 5th in a row.

Thanks, 60s guy - Great memories! I remember cooking up a storm early Sunday morning on the huge grill / outdoor kitchen - omelettes filled with green and red bell peppers that Upstate Steve had left over from his Saturday night quesadillas. I cooked up a mess of onions and folded them in as well, and unhealthy amounts of cheddar cheese, of course. Dished those out along with many pounds of bacon to bleary eyed Jamfesters still trying to shake the tequila stumbles from all that fun in the hot tub.

And making mercy runs with Tom to bring back Dunkin Donuts Boxes of Coffee -each had a gallon or two of hot coffee. We made QQ drink a quart of gatorade as soon as he was vertical, as he had made it through such a special time about five hours earlier.

I went through an entire grinder full of peppercorns. Doesn't get much better than that!

Good times!

If you can snag a poster of that happening please do and I'll reimburse ya.....I'm hanging down in Encinitas with the fam this week or I'd seriously consider trying to catch this event.
