So the guy who mixed the first Jackson 5 album ever and literally 100's maybe 1000's of motown hits was asked what song would he consider his signature sound.
He answered "Just my imagination" by the Temptations....
I Always liked the tune but never really listened to it closely from a recording, mixing , mastering perspective ...just took a listen...fricking a lot of shit going on I never paid attention to before having it pointed out..Damn fine mix...a lot to be learned from studying and listening closely to what he has going on.
I went on Youtube to find a nice sounding version...I was surprised at the variations of quality out there This one is pretty good to get a good listen on the mix separation with cans on...cooooool!
