In Italy this summer I met a cool keyboard player at a trade show I was attending, he let me sit in and play a few tunes and we exchanged contact info and connected on facebook. Dude was an animal player and conservatory trained..yesterday he posted a video of one of his buddy's (Lachey Doley) on Facebook playing a Whammy Clavinet...Damn! a whole different world for keyboard players...Dude was the shit.. If you want to be entertained, below is a link to a couple of his videos ... ...sadly I'd never heard of him or his older brother Clayton ..I guess they're both well known in Australia..
I've never seen one of these whammy clavs before but I am suspecting he is also using a wha wha pedal in tandem with the whammy bar to get the effect he's getting it's pretty wicked sounding for keys...definitely weened on hammond by his style...
This is the one my bud posted it's just him jamming along with a backing track I am assuming he and his band wrote...BAD ASS
