Do you have any recommendations on a Word-compatible or Word-like freebie?

I'm really looking for something that I can make editable tables in that will print with a grid.

Open Office and Libre Office are similar to Word. Google Docs might do enough for you without needing large installs.
 
I used to use open office back in the day but totally I'm Google Docs. I have Office on my computers but in the cloud when viewing it uses the google sheets totally like excel....
Just have to have a gmail account.... Also Google drive gives 100 gb of free storage to keep the docs you make in the cloud...at this point for my business I pay $5 a month for a terabyte...

If you know how to use Excel and word they are very close...just slight nuances but kick ass.... Go to sheets HERE That link actually takes you to the whole suite of Office type programs "forms" is a kick ass way to do FREE online surveys among many other things powerful shit said the fly!
