I had I newspaper from the day of the evacuations...donated it to my school, wish Id kept it.

That shot on the boat with the German Stuka dive bomber closing in is cinematic perfection.

Its a fantastic story with many allowances for great scenes like that...the evacuation should be huge


Love a good war film, love Nolans work too

What an awesome idea for a movie. I remember reading Churchill's memoir. The part about Dunkirk was clearly huge for him. It really was a miraculous deliverance for the British (and allies.) Everyone with a boat capable of crossing the channel was rescuing soldiers.Even without their weapons and equipment, saving that army pretty much saved Britain.
Can't wait to see this.
