The Tom Petty documentary on Netflix is a good way to spend some time getting a pretty in-depth view of his amazingly long career. Never got around to seeing him live, unfortunately.

Appears it is only matter of time. Reports are no brain activity, taken off life support, per his wish no resuscitate order in place.
Tom Petty was one of those guys who could take just a few simple chord changes and create something that made you feel good, or evoked emotion. With his less is more approach to guitar accompaniment, Mike Campbell was the perfect sideman.
I can't say why, as I don't understand myself. Maybe it's the combination of what happened last night in Las Vegas. This one is hitting me kind of hard.
Forgive me if I spam post a few songs. Maybe some not as familiar as the first.
