The "beaver" moon...

Weird, haven't heard that I guess.

Everything you wanted to know and more about the Beaver moon

Guess it's called the Beaver moon cause back in the day it was the indicator for the indians and trappers to set their traps for the beavers cause winter was coming and they would need the furs to keep warm


This "supermoon" is the closest the moon has come to earth in 68 freekin years and won't be that close again until 2034 ...or so "THEY" say...
 
I've also heard it described as a "Super Moon" but there was a lot of misinformation going around based on photos taken with the telephoto lens.

The actual difference in size between the apogee (most distant part of orbit) and perigee (closest) is illustrated by this photo:

Still, we had a nice look at the moon going in and out of light clouds the other night.
 
Considering the way the world is going, a quick end might be a blessed relief. Come on Noobooroo!
