I'm in a really casual cover band - NYRon and the Flying Monkis, I think, not sure where we are with the name. Anyways - if you're in the neighborhood, we'll be at Danelectro's at about 11PM. edit: tonight, the 29th.

Any mic you buy will be perfectly suited to your needs, until you use it long enough to learn that it's not.

    It went *ok*

I've never gigged without my big old lucky JCM-800 half stack, which is always a problem for the front-of-house guys, and this time was no different - I think I had to set the master vol to 0.2 - anyway, other than everyone saying they couldn't hear the guitar afterward (which was just as well on a couple of the songs :0), it was a riot.

Ya should have put your amp to the side of the stage and cross fired it at the volume that you like then everyone would of been happy.

Except the singer, the bass player and the drummer.

Bass can cross fire as well. Drummers are usually happy with this set up and the singer has his in ears or monitors for himself.

yeah - I started out this way, and then the sound guy wanted me to move the amp - for other reasons, I guess. I didn't occur to me to turn it sideways in the new location. I think the others would have like it, because they later complained they couldn't hear any guitar
