Hi- I'm looking to buy a Tascam 688... Either in good working condition or a simple fixer-upper (needing belt replacement or caps replacement is fine). Please let me know if you have one- either here or directly. Thanks!

Thanks, but I'm trying to avoid eBay... Too may people selling stuff that they just don't know about there. I'd prefer to buy from someone that actually knows what the piece of gear does and if it works properly or not... Thanks!
 
Don't blame you. Especially when it comes to mixers and tape machines.

I've gotten great deals from ebay! Just from guitars and some other hardware gear where they either demonstrated the item working, or it's just something I know is ruggedly built, and is hard to break.
