DIY djembe stand

So I need a stand to record my djembe, but seeing as they are ridiculously expensive, I decided to make one myself. I've got a couple of mic stands that I don't use anymore, and I was thinking this would be a good start. Maybe remove some stuff from it and add something to hang my medium-sized djembe on. It would however be great to make it adjustable in case I get new djembes and/or other skindrums.

Now I'm not much of a DIY'er so I was hoping someone here had any good ideas..?

The main reason I need a stand is because I'm going to use a (perhaps phaseflipped) Shure Beta 52a under the drum to pick up the bass and a couple of LDCs over it for higher frequencies.

Just found out one of my guitar stands is perfect for the job, so project completed, didn't have to do a thing.

Sure. I didn't get around to record with it yet, but here's the stand:


And here's my djembe attached to it. There is more than enough room for the Beta 52a under there.

That's just great!
Looks to be that you can get any microphone on a short boom stand under the djembe.
