    Hello Chis,

With respect to the history of recording and the migration from analog to digital ..... What do you see that is of interest for the future of recording beyond what we have technologically today?

    Best,
    Henry

Chris do you have some speculations? Not just sci-Fi kinda stuff beyond the so called stone wall of digital recordings with computers but there must be some talk at you level in the business about what the next few years might bring us - like the development of proper USB microphones etc.

How about if not only instruments themselves are transducers, but also the studio itself is constructed with transducers? Then the playback room uses the same type of construction as the studio, with DSP to adjust for variance in construction? Which also detects the listener's position in the room and corrects accordingly.

    That is futurific

Don't panic! It only took me 7½ million years to compute.
