fostex 380s help

I have a fostex 4 track model 380s. It has served me well, but for the past few days, whenever I turn it on, the lights on the display screen light up and stay lit up. It won't play or record or anything. It's just kinda frozen. Does anyone know what the hell is going on?

I just got one of these from ebay too, and have the same problem. I can't even get the tape out!!! Please help. Have you had any response or solutions?
