i seemed to have reached a 24 track limit in acid 4.0 on my 2.5 gig processor, 512 ddr memory and 80 gig hard drive system. i am running windows xp. i don't know if i need more memory or if it was the software, but my question is will cubase or any other software or wares allow me to edit more than 24 tracks on my system?

Cubase will handle more tracks - though I usually stick to 16. It will usually do more (PC is 833 mhz P3, 512mb ram) - but not always.
Not sure software limit on tracks - 64? 48? More than I need anyhow. Daf |

magix samplitude supports up to 999 tracks. Propably your system won't but you can load all tracks and just play some of them.

Cubase will handle as many tracks as your computer power will allow. Technically it's unlimited....
