Transferring files to PC from MR8 (and back again)

I'm still struggling with this. basically the bit i'm stuck with is when the files have been imported, where on the PC are they located afterwards. I seem to only able to play them when the USB lead is still connected. Once I disconnect it won't allow me to play the wav file chosen.

Where is the best place to place the file when imported from PC. Do i choose something on the left of the wav manager.

Also if i create a file from fruity loops for example, can i export this to PC. I've tried but it came up saying wrong format. I understand the Fostex Wav manager instructions and that a file exported to PC has to be named tr01 etc etc..

Is it just a simple case of not having any proper sequencer software to mix each track or can i just download onto pc as a finished rough track and record on CD.

Heyulp....heyulp !!
cheers

I don't know about the Fruityloops part of your question, but about transferring files to the PC from MR-8 you need to pick some place on the left side of the screen in the wavmanager to transfer the files to. I always transfer to "my documents". You can also make a new folder within "my documents" for the tracks of each song. The tracks will play with your default player. In order to play all the tracks together you will need some kind of multi-track software. If you don't want to pay an arm and leg get n-track.

I created a PC directory for Fostex Song Files. I then create a sub-directory for each song. I use that directory to transfer files to/from the MR8. Makes them easy to find and keeps them separate.
