Question Dual Monitor Support?

Hey, guys

I'm trying out Cubase SX and an annoying thing I've noticed is that I can't use both of my PC monitors. Well, the little control window can go from one window to another, but everything else is just packed into one monitor.

Anything I can do to run dual monitor setup with SX?

Question

I'm not sure what your talking about, but yes, it' possible, I've also run SX on 3 monitors for a while, but now the 3rd one, witch wasn'T mine is gone so...snif

Maybe your talking about the "maximize" button. (upper right, the one in the middle) Be sure your not "maximized" and then simply move the right or left, dunno how you set this up, SX window limit where you want it to be!

ooff.. this one was hard. you understand? If not, I can write it in french, will be clearer this way

Good luck

Fred

Have a look at the image of my desktop below.

Notice how the control thing is on the left monitor? then have a look at the vst output window in the middle of the 2 monitors. It doesn't go to the left monitor, instead, it just gets cut in half. The 3rd white circle on top right shows that I am not "maximized".

Any clue?

BTW, I am running Windows XP, and please stay with English

To get SX across both monitors, you need to use the unmaximized window and stretch it across both monitors.

Question

Kind of strange to me, I never saw a 2 monitors setup react this way, with Cubase SX. You shouldn't be able to get you transport bar out of the main window if the second one isn't ok.

Did you tried to inverse them in your display settings? I guess so..

Looks like you have 2 diff monitor's, one smaller, but, nothing to do with the problem.

What video card is it? A single one? 2 PCIs? AGP + PCI? Have you tried other drivers? Have youtried to simply set your left to your right? (may sound stoopid, but I already saw that kind of change be useful...)

Hard to awnser dude, really dunno what can cause this, it never happend to me!

should look like this:

maybe with more details, I or someone else will be able to help!

Kryogh and JR#97,

thanks, guys. I played around with the videocard's settings (Nvidia GF ti4600) and I was able to drag Cubase across my monitors. I just needed to disable something called "nView".

Again, thanks alot
