Mic2496 Preamp question

Hi. Has anyone seen or ordered one of these? The Mic2496 is a portable A/D stereo mic pre with s/pdif output. It runs on a 9v battery and supplies 48v phantom to to condensers. I ordered mine, and it should arrive next week. www.core-sound.com for info.

I'm using it with a Rode NT4 stereo mic, and a Creative Nomad Jukebox 3 mp3 player, which doubles as a portable HD recorder. I can record straight to a 320kb/s .mp3, or 44.1/16 .wav file via it's optical input. Tell me what you all think about the mic pre's specs.
