I'd say it IS a D12, but made by AKG for Philips.
That kind of thing happened more often than you'd think.

I'm not a good enough historian to be sure it's a D12, but the simple quality of the housing and fittings give it away as a good ole' dynamic. I'll bet you can sing into that thing, or use it for a kick mic.-Richie
