I have one but to be honest I haven't powered it up for several years. There are several good voicings in it but I've pretty much got them covered with my other modules and I found mine to be a little too noisy for my liking. Compared to what I paid for it when Roland first introduced it, buying it for under $100 is a steal. Used toilet paper doesn't even depreciate that fast.

Now you offer the guy $10 for a broken piece and if he sells, maybe you can replace the battery and/or reset it and get lucky if it comes back. It may need voices loaded via MIDI as well. I've got a Roland D-20 which is synth + drum machine + sequencer. Similiar sound structure as the D-110. I never really took a real liking to the sound, but it may be something you like.
Hey here's a site with synth reset info. Looks like no ROM reset for a D-110. Maybe still could be the battery.... http://www.rangeraudio.com/presets.htm |
