First time poster here!
I am taking the next step (from home stereo) to Studio Monitors. Money is still tight, so I am trying to stay under $400. I have looked at the following and am hoping that someone can give me advice or a recommendation on which of these two to go with. Or any other recc's under $400. Alesis M1 http://www.alesis.com/products/m1active/ M-Audio Studiophile BX-5 http://www.m-audio.nl/bx5.htm Thanking you in advance. Joe |

I bought the two you monitors you mentioned and kept the M-Audios. They sounded better to me and were adaptable (minor EQ options), which worked out best in my very small studio. I haven't heard the Yorkies but see good things about them in these threads.
Good luck, J. |

I have those Alesis M1 Active monitors. I like them. But there is a catch. They are the only ones I have ever used.
