Hooking up Active Monitors (V8s)

So I got some V8s this weekend. These are my first active monitors and I am curious as to what type of cable would be ideal for these. Should I use XLR, balanced 1/4, unbalanced 1/4, should the cable be shielded? I don't do much with speakers normally. I just set them up and leave them.

What kind of inputs do they have? DO NOT USE speaker cable. It will be a regular line level cable but balanced or not and what jacks depends on what it wants. READ YOUR MANUAL.
