postive vibe

Most of us come here with our problems, and none more than I.
Well, hell, it's Labor Day, nice and cool out (for Sept. in Texas) and I thought I'd pass on this positive wave: Every time I turn on my VF80, I learn a little more about it. I can now record in multi-track, mix, scrub, delete noise, master, make a CD, add reverb and effects, i.e. already do more than Elvis' engineers could do. Prolly 90% of the advanced functions I haven't tried yet, because I don't know that I need them all. But as I do, I notice that the machine works perfectly, every time, and does exactly what the mfr. promises. What have I got to bitch about?

Well, got to go wiggle my hips now. God Bless America. Oh yeah, and Canada and England and Australia too. Oh, what the hell, God Bless Everybody.

Your trusty hound dog,

Rob in Texas

How about the French Rob?

Have a nice Labor day and keep enjoying your machine.

Morindae: I swore I knew somebody would ask me that.
Let's just say the French make great wine and cheese and fought heroically in WWI and leave it at that. Deal?

Here's another feature Rob. Check out page 52 in the manual. In its simplest form this feature enables you to store a "scene" (fader levels, plus eq and effects settings) for a given song at a given point. I've been using this to store my final mix settings used in the bounce-down to 7/8. This way, two weeks/years later, if I want to go back and tweak the mix, the VF80 will recall for me where everything was. This is a great feature even just for remembering the fader positions. Saves a lot of guesswork and time and having to start back at square one.
