Angry Midi Timming problems in calkpro 9

Hello can anyone help me with problems with calkwalk pro 9 and sonar 2.0 midi timming problems?
Everytime I record midi I get the wrong timming problems, when I use quantize it only moves my notes about 3 ticks or so..it does not line the notes up right..
I am using soundblaster sound card and the alesis keyboard daisy chained to the boss module..
When I use my older version of cakewalk it records midi perfectlly!
can anyone help me?
Thanks
Ken

Welcome to the board, Ken...

Make sure you set the quantize correcrtly. Pay attention on the "Resolution", "Change" Start time and note durations, and aslo the strength of the quantization.

Cool

Does Snap To Grid need to be turned on when Quantising? I've never had any trouble with PA7 nor with HS2002 when applying Quantisation - but I always have STG turned on.

Angry midi timming problem

I have it set to sixteenth 100% strength,note and duration..
I have tried turning on and off my snap to grid but no change.
I have tried the offset to line up the timming also.
I have went to cakewalk and downloaded their update patches but the problem still exsist.
Thanks
Ken

Question

In Soar, go Options --> Project --> Clock tab.
What's the source ? and what's your timebase (Ticks per Quarter notes) ?

Said you have daisy chain with your Boss module. How did you describe your chain ? For example:

Out (a) --> In (b)
Out (b) --> In (c)
Out (c) --> In (a)

Just curious, what if you make straight sex.... I mean straight connection ?

SB MIDI out --> Alessis MIDI in
Alessis MIDI out --> SB MIDI in

I've used Cakewalk since Dos version thru Sonar 2.2XL with no problem, so I believe something can be done to solve your problem.
