tonite i was going to record a few vocal tracks. but all that was recorded was static noise.everything was working like usual nothing has been changed, i could hear the prerecorded tracks and the vocalist but the minute i hit record all i could see was a thick black line in the recording section. i could still hear the vocals and all the other tracks were fine, but upon play back alll i could hear was the static.

does anyone know if this i just a setting or could it be my soundcard. by the way it is a 1010lt.

the system worked flawlessly the last session.

Sounds like your input was too hot if you saw a solid black line in the wav file. Maybe you forgot to adjust it after recording a different instrument?

Bass Master K is probably right with the input too hot idea.

However, I had this same problem with my old Gadget Labs Wave 824 when it was recording in 33 Khz. Everything was just static.

At the moment I'm building my own 1010lt system, so hopefully I won't have this same problem.
