ban someone for posting in the wrong forum?

where is the love?

Has he been doing this for a prolonged period, or does the bb have a zero tolerance policy?

I'd say that would be important to know.

Don't understand what you mean by this. I've seen loads of examples in Homerecording.com of people posting links to their music hosted elsewhere and asking for opinions....haven't I?

Now you've got me thinking.

What are the rules anyway (as, like most people probably, I came on here without bothering to read the small print!!)

kramer

i still dont understand what you mean by "i should get banned". I haven't offended anyone, or asked for money. All i'm asking for is advice on my songs. Please leave me be. plus i told you i've tried to erase the other ones but i don't know how to.

You signed up and began posting a link to your soudclick site immediately without posting in any of the many forums onthis site.Thats usually the behavior of someone who is spamming their site in order to get more "Listens" in their stats at soundclick,mp3.com etc......thats against the rules.

If you didnt know then I apologize. There are so many spammers coing through here nowadays that you cant tell who's for real, especially if their first 10 posts are nothing but a link to their music.

If you are serious about getting help with your mixes you should post your songs in the MP3 Clinic.Again,I apologize if you didnt know the rules on spamming.Welcome to the board and hang around. You'll most definetly learn a lot!

This is from the Terms of Service Agreement when you sign up on this bbs:

"Posting links to your outside web pages, where the motivation is judged to be solely or largely to drive up your page views or for monetary interest, is also against the rules. Posting off-topic material (for instance, talking about sex in the Tascam forum) is both annoying and against the rules. Posting the same thing in multiple forums is also considered a no-no...please figure out where it belongs first."

Small print eh?

Ok, thanks for the clarification of the rules, which seem like good old common sense. Obviously I HAVE seen people posting links to their music elsewhere, but presumably they have only done it once in the appropriate place and have therefore not been told off.
