Really nice!!! Recorded exclusively with an Octava mic? If it was then it sure is a good endorsement of Octava.

Your the drummer though right Rec Eng? Your gonna do yourself out of a job if you don't play dude! I liked your drum work on Parallel, was there any reason why you chose to not have drums on this song?

GREAT WORK!!!

Thank You for the compliments and most importantly, taking the time to listen and let me know what you thought.

Oktava? Yeah right... That was nearly three years ago. Back when my best mic was an AKG C1000 (old version); all done with the 1000.

It's the only song on our album that doesn't have drums; out of ten songs... Hey, it's a lullaby. Besides, I played the slinky part.

Out of a job drumming? Oh wait till you hear the next album... Will begin tracking no later than May; thousands $ of more gear, more education and experience with recording and drumming, more learning and experiences individually for all the band members, and actually playing as a band... We had not played together for more than six months before our entire album was recorded.

I didn't think it sounded warm enough to be the Oktava mic. The song and recording still sounded great though. Perhaps you can redo the song with the Oktava for a nice comparison... just a thought.

Damn it!!! C1000!!??? I hate it when I hear stuff recorded this well... it just adds another mic to my "to get" list. If you can do that with a C1000, I can't wait to hear all the new stuff once you've recorded it with all you new gear.

Preamp? Just a channel pre from a Mackie SR24-4 that I no longer have.
