Bounce troubles.

I have an acoustic guitar track on which I put a little light compression as well as EQ. In addition, there are 5 other tracks in this song. Banjo, bass, mandolin chops, mandolin solos/fills and vocals.

When I bounce all the tracks to a single stereo track, the acoustic guitar becomes very bassy and muddy. If I bounce the guitar to a single stereo track by itself, I get the same results. It sounds like the comp and EQ don't get bounced.

All the other tracks seem to bounce just fine.

Help!

Earl

2 things I can think of right off hand... there are a bunch of check boxes right before mix down, your options, make sure the right ones are checked.
The other is your main mix bus, your output... make sure its not hitting red at any point throughout the song. If it is, crank it down until it doesnt clip anymore.
Same with the plugs, make sure all your gain staging is good and nothing is driving the plug after it into clipping.
If you are bouncing 24 bit wav there should be no difference, really. Bouncing to 16 bit Mp3 or something, yeah, there will be a big difference.
Hope that helps aome.
