Humidity and Drums

Hey all, I just bought a new set of Tama Starclassics and I've been keeping them set up in the basement. When I go down there it seems really humid, the hardware on my last set seemed to 'pit' aweful fast. Is there anything I should be worried about with this new set and high humidity? (I know I should buy a dehumidifier, gotta pay the drums off first) thanks

Thumbs down friend's set....

yeah, i'd strongly advise keeping your set somewhere very dry. i have mine in my basement but i have a dehumidifier so it is probably the best room in the house to keep it now.

My friend had his set in his garage, he bought it brand new, it was a crappy set in the first place, but its nearly in peices because he kept there. i bought my set used and its still in the same condition (almost). doesnt matter what set you have, keep it somewhere where nature cant have its effect on it.
