Behringer Head Amp Hook-up

Just bought a Behringer 4700 HeadAmp as it sounds like one of the units they make that works pretty well and has a lot more flexibility than other amps.
Question about the hook-up. I'm currently using a VS880vx which doesn't have many choices for outputs. The Behringer has both 1/4" and xlr inputs, and since I don't (currently) need to provide seperate moniter mixes I am forgoing the aux send outputs (but will probably try them at a later date...).
Right now I 'm coming out of the headphone output on the VS with a trs cable, and going in to one of the input channels. when I set each channel on the amp for "2 channel" I get a mono signal in both ears. OK, the question is....is there a cable that would come out of the vs headphone out, then split to left right and give me a stereo signal in the headphone channels?
I understand that a stereo signal is not particularly important for this purpose, but I always like to get everything out of my equipment as possible...

Sorry this is so long-winded...just want to make my situation clear..

You can get that type of Y-splitter at GC, etc. Make sure the single plug is TRS and the two plugs on the Y are TS. You might want to ask for it as an "insert cable." They're usually not very long.

If you need length, you can also get adaptors that allows you to use two of your own cords with 1/4", RCA, banana plugs, etc. You can even get the adaptors at RS (its hard to screw up an adaptor, even for RS).

You could also temporarily connect the TRS cable to the Main in on the front panel of the HA4700, until you get that other cable. I believe this will bypass the aux ins and anything plugged into the back of the unit though, so it's only a temporary solution.

I run mine from my recorder using the RCA main outs. RCA to 1/4" mono cables into an Ebtech Hum Eliminator to get a balanced signal to the headphone amp. Then 1/4 " TRS to XLR cables from the Ebtech to the amp. I was getting a low level hum going directly from the RCAs on the recorder to the amp. It went away and I got a stronger signal when I ran it through the Ebtech.

Do the RCA monitor outs give a stronger/cleaner signal than the headphone out jack? I bought an insert cable and seem to get a good strong send to the Behringer....rather not buy another piece (hum eliminator) for minimal returns...

I don't know if the signal is better. The main outs and the headphone jack on my recorder ( Korg D8 ) are all rather weak. And the headphone out on my recorder are on the front and I didn't want another cable in the way. If the headphones out works good on yours, use it rather than spend the money. I found that my Behringer wanted a strong signal to really sound good. I wasn't satisfied till I fixed the hum with the balanced lines.
