Another patchbay cable question

When wiring up a patchbay with both balanced lines that are TRS and XLR, do I use the same kind of cable (I plan on making my own)? I know obviously I need I need a XLR to TRS cable or connector but is that it or is there something else I am missing? Thanks

No, three wire shielded rubber jacketed cable is all you need for either one. You need a good hot soilder gun and good lead free soldier and a good clean workstation with a way to hold the connector as you are working with it. The metal can get very hot and you dont want to burn your fingers!
