New funky blues tune - pleeze listen...

Hey guys. I just finished this for possible use in film/TV stuff. There isn't a lot of lead work because they aren't looking for wanking.

Let me know what you think if you have a momento.

Not jumping your case, but this is a discussion forum. Your material should be posted for listening for the Mixing Clinic, but I see you`ve already posted there, good.

Since this pertains more to the overall sound, I guess it's OK to post my response in the mastering section?

My 2 cents on the overall sound:

Overcompressed, and muddy. Alot of sibilance from the cymbals.

In regards to the mix, a bit too much verb on the snare, guitar a bit too loud, or drums not loud and punchy enough (probably due to too much compression).

Very good guitar sound and playing though, I'm guessing that you're the player?

I like it.

Strat all the way.

Your lead brakes are pretty good. Give it more bite and it will be awsome.
