Used Stuff for Sale?
I was trying to find some good prices on used mics and preamps and stuff. So far Ive checked out ebay, the Yahoo classifieds, www.geeknoize.com, and a few others . Ebay has the most selection but id rather not have to bid on the gear. Anybody have any suggestions of thier favorite classifieds or outlets that give really good discount?

http://www.brentaverill.com/ Those are going to be more... high end type stuff. Brent Averill won't really have anything "used", per se, but still good places to buy from. "Fletcher" from Mercenary Audio frequents this board. He's very knowledgeable and always helpful.

Ebay is about it for used stuff.
Maybe www,recycler.com but then you're gonna rack up Escrow.com fees or take chances on people keeping your bread and not sending the gear. At least with Ebay they have the feedback system for a level of buyer protection............ |

You can look here, but I rarely see anything cheaper than eBay.

The API 312's, The Neve 33114's and the Audix 35102's. They're all great! Brent Averill's pre amps are synonymous with high end, high quality. They're on the expensive side, but they hold their value, making them a great buy in my book. The only draw back I can see is the remote power supply. Its not a wall wart mind you, but a separate power unit that supplies the power to his racked modules. They're heavy, and kind of big is all. But the pres I have from him ALL sound fantastic! I want one of his Neve clones!

Check the "trading post" for good used gear. Also, if you decide you want to buy anything in bulk, or place a somewhat large order for new stuff,,,,,,,,,,,from sweetwater,,,,,,,,,,,they give huge discounts, as well as offer lifetime tech support, and you can return ANYTHING and get either credit,,,,,,,or they'll cut you a check if you are not satisfied. Quite honestly the best deal around as far as prices and support and returns are considered. -dizz |

My first set of Yorkvilles from daddys . $125 around 2001 and a ADK 5.1 from Galaxy for $189.00 I think around 2001 or so Good Luck Malcolm |
