I need a good all-in-one vocal processor

all I need is: XLR connectivity, Reverb, Compression and Mic Tube Pre-Amp.

are there any good all-in-one units which can be used live or in the studio?

Focusrite has some decent ones, varying in price alot all the way up to the ISA ones. Start from there.

Thanks.

I'm looking for something a little less expensive and portable like the Digitech Vocal 300. Is it any good?

I don't have one, but it seems to have what your lookin' for with the exception of tube pre (has preamp and mic "modeling")...

http://www.dbxpro.com/ProVocal.htm

About $300 US

Do a search on the boards for ProVocal to see the opinions are.
I had looked at this piece, but decided to get a mic preamp and effects unit separately which I think has worked for me better than an all-in-one box.

The Digitech Vocal 300 has XLR, but I don't think 48vdc phantom powering for condensor mics which if you use it in a studio you may want a good condensor mic. Reviews I've seen sort said it was OK for live use, but didn't sound so good for recording. Depends what you're lookin' for mostly I guess.

Vocal Processors are usually just gimmicks. Do you need this for some specific application? You would be better of just getting decent preamps, reverbs and compressors seperately.

Tube pre

I'm looking for something similiar...www.artproaudio.com
Art Tube Pac...does not have reverb, you might need an effects processor. The Rack space companion is the Art Tube Channel. Price for the first is $189.95 and $279.95 for the second. Maybe someone has used either and can supply an opinion.

Wink

TRUE tube mic pre's (Manley's, etc) cost some serious change.
Budget=?

Thanks guys.

Yeah I'm on a budget.

I've used the Presonus BlueTUBE Pre Amp and the Presonus BlueMAX Compressor in a studio before with out any effects added and I was pleased with the way my voice sounded.

So I guess I'll get those and patch in my studio reverb effects mod.
