Where do the Crash Test Dummies record?

Their first album was recorded at Wayne Finucan Studio in Winnipeg. And it was mixed at O'Henry in LA... http://www.ohenrystudios.com/

Second album was recorded and mixed at MUSIC HEAD RECORDING, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin....

Oh man.. if SOMEONE could tell me how to achieve the snaredrumsound to be heard on "Mmm mmm mmm", I'd be the happiest man on earth.
The whole drumsound is fabulous by the way. What brand? What skins? What mics? What compressorsettings? What reverb? Tell me, tell me!
