Seymour is on a distinguished road
Hello. I am having a problem listening to music on the net. I am using the Real Audio G2 available on the web.I listen for 2 seconds and wait for 6 seconds for the program to continue loading and then another 2 seconds etc etc.. How can I listen to a whole song without the stoping and starting.
Thank you all.
This is a VERY helpful site for us Home Recording Buffs.
Best Regards
Seymour

If you're using Netscape, just right click the music link and select "save link as" which brings up a dialog box where you select where to save it on your HD. Then inside RealAudio you select File/Open File and navigate to that location on your HD. It will play .rm, .mp3, .wav or .mid as well, but it uses a particularly crappy S/W synth
for .mid files instead of going through the windows MIDI player to route the signal to the default synth.

Hi Seymour, thanks...

Your problem is that your Internet connection is probably too slow for the rate the music has been encoded at. To see if I'm right, go to http://homerecording.com/steven_songs.html
and pick any of the songs listed. You should be able to listen to the first link (16 Kbps) with no problem but you'll probably have the same problem you describe on the second line (32 Kbps). If you still have problems at 16, there's something else wrong...
