td-6 connected to pc does not work

I just bought a td-6 electronic drum and I would like to hook it up to my pc using the pc as secuencer. I'm 99% sure that the in/outputs are connected the right way but I don't get any midi signals in or out cubase(the midi activity lights on the transport panel won't light up). I used many different in and outputs on the channels. And I switched the local control to off. Actually I really don't know much of midi. Please help! Thanx.

Try reversing the cables. That usually does it for me. If not check your device manager's soundcard settings and cubase's preferences. Make sure your MIDI in and out are chosen instead fo microsoft sound mapper.
