Question Where to sell more CDs?

I'm wondering where you guys have found you sell more CDs.
It seems logical to sell at the big ones like CD Baby, CD Street and Amazon.
But what about the smaller, genre-specific stores?
Any success with more grass-roots level stores?

volume at local stores may not be that great, but it's great to have something available at a brick-and-mortar store, and the more independant places are quite good about handling that amicably.

you might want to try networking with musicians around the country and arranging a unit-for unit swap-basically, selling their cd's as well as yours and letting them do the same. this gets albums out to markets you aren't tapping into yet. one sale across the country can easily become a circle of friends of that customer who are interested. this works best, of course, if you have some easy means of finding out sales info-online or via phone, though i prefer online for ease and availability of info.
