Midi problems

I can not for the life of me get the midi input to work between my computer and my keyboard. I have an old Yamaha keyboard and when i try to use it with fruity loops i cant get the keyboard to control anything... Also when i use SOUNDCHECK to fix it only the midi output plays. Can Someone please help me?

Lightbulb

What device do you use for playback ? (internal synth or the Yamaha keyboard ?)

You need to connect:

Yamaha MIDI Out --> Card's MIDI In
Card's MIDI Out --> Yamaha MIDI In

And select the associated driver/port in Fr.Loops MIDI configuration <-- not sure where, I didn't have Fr.Loops anyway Just look for it somewhere.

I use the internal synth for playback. However, my last post said input, but i meant to say output. I cant record into FL.

I suspect your MIDI configuration in FL. Like I said, I don't have FL, so I'm not sure where to configure it If you're sure you have installed the driver correctly, Try find the MIDI input / output configuratin in FL. Or you may drop by in Cakewalk Forum to ask about it, some folks there used FL.
