SM58 and Beta58

I was wondering how much a difference it would make if I upgraded from a SM58 to a beta 58 or another better mic. I am singing through a mackieVLZ mixer into JBL powered speakers. Thank you

The Beta series are generally a little brighter than their non-beta counterparts....

Mackie pre's don't "load" (match) the Shure's well.
Upgrading your pre will probably be the more effective path.
